RK Jewellers (“we”, “us”) operates https://rkjewellerskhanna.com. This policy explains how we handle your personal data in line with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and the Information Technology Act, 2000.
What we collect and why
- Order details — name, phone number, email, shipping/billing address: used solely to process, ship, and support your order (including invoices and delivery updates via SMS/WhatsApp/email).
- Payment information — processed entirely by our payment/checkout partners; we never see or store your card, UPI, or banking credentials.
- Contact form messages — used only to reply to your query.
- Wishlist — stored only in your own browser (localStorage); it never reaches our servers.
Who we share it with
Only with service providers needed to fulfil your order: our checkout and shipping partners (e.g. Shiprocket/Fastrr for payment processing and courier delivery) and our website hosting provider. We do not sell or rent your personal data to anyone.
How long we keep it
Order records are retained as required for accounting and tax law (currently 8 years), after which they are deleted. Contact-form messages are deleted once resolved.
Your rights under the DPDP Act
- Ask what personal data of yours we hold
- Ask us to correct or update it
- Ask us to erase it (where we are not legally required to retain it)
- Withdraw consent for any processing based on consent
- Nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf
- Escalate unresolved complaints to the Data Protection Board of India
To exercise any of these rights, contact our Grievance Officer below. We aim to acknowledge complaints within 48 hours and resolve them within 30 days.
Children
Our store is intended for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Security & breaches
The site is served over HTTPS and access to order data is restricted. In the event of a personal data breach, we will notify affected users and the Data Protection Board of India as required by the DPDP Act.
